EV-C3: A New American EV Sports Car Inspired by One of the Most Iconic Vehicles in History

EvAutoInsider.com is an independent online platform that covers the latest news and trends in the electric vehicle industry.

If you are a fan of classic sports cars, you might be interested in the latest announcement from E-Cite Motors Group, a subsidiary of VaporBrands International, Inc. (OTC:VAPR). The company has revealed that it has secured the design and rights to produce a new electric vehicle that resembles one of the most iconic and popular sports cars in history. Although E-Cite has not publicly confirmed which vehicle they have obtained those the design and rights to, it is pretty obvious due to the model name EV-C3 and the provided illustrations that it is referring to the C3 Corvette.

The EV-C3 is a modernized version of the legendary sports car (Chevrolet C3 Corvette) that dominated the roads from the late sixties to the late seventies. The EV-C3 features a sleek and aerodynamic body, a powerful and efficient electric drive train, and a modular chassis shared with E-Cites EV-GT, an already engineered sports car that is currently awaiting final approval from the California Air Resources Board (CARB). In fact, the EV-C3 shares more than 90% of the components with the EV-GT, including the batteries, suspension, glass, and more than half of the body panels. This allows E-Cite to reduce development costs and increase production efficiency.

E-Cite Motors COO Gene Langmesser commented: “By using all the major components engineered for the EV-GT as a platform for the EV-C3 we will be able to manufacture both cars and components simultaneously, amortizing development costs over both vehicles, and allowing E-Cite to produce two distinctly different sports cars. Both vehicles utilize modern technology while being reminiscent of the legendary vehicles they resemble.”

“Both the EV-GT and the EV-C3 will be available at roughly the same time giving customers the choice of two unique models. The ability to be able to design our platform in a way that allows this to happen is a testament to the design team’s foresight, talent, and pedigree. Being able to obtain and protect the rights to produce vehicles that resemble some of the most renowned automobiles of all

time speaks volumes about those who have accomplished it.” Added E-Cite Motors CEO Barry Henthorn.

The EV-GT and the EV-C3 are not the only electric vehicles that E-Cite has in its portfolio. The company also has two other models that have already received final approval from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under the Low Volume Manufacturers Act: the EV-RT, a rugged and versatile electric truck, and the EV-222, a hyper car that can reach speeds of over 200 mph.

E-Cite Motors Group is one of the first companies to take advantage of the Low Volume Manufacturers Act, which allows small-scale manufacturers to produce up to 5000 vehicles per year without having to comply with the same regulations as mass-market automakers. This gives E-Cite more flexibility and creativity in designing and producing its vehicles.

E-Cite Motors Group has received a World Manufactures Identifier (WMI) under the Act. This means that E-Cite can sell its vehicles in any country that recognizes the WMI code. (which is most)

E-Cite Motors Group is confident that its electric vehicles will appeal to a wide range of customers, especially those who appreciate the style and performance of classic sports cars. The company expects to launch both the EV-GT and the EV-C3 this year, giving customers the option to choose between two unique and exciting models.

E-Cite Motors Group is also working closely with CARB to establish the process for certifying its vehicles under the Act, as this is the first time that a manufacturer has applied for such certification. E-Cite hopes to pave the way for other low-volume manufacturers to follow suit and bring more innovation and diversity to the electric vehicle market.
